III of Wands/3 of Fire

three of wands

The Three of Wands is all about expansion.  The figure in the cards has moved his idea into motion through the Ace and Two of Wands.  Now it’s time to expand that vision.  Expand your horizons – you can take your plans further.  It’s time to think BIG.

The figure in the card sees the challenges ahead, those mountains in the background.  However the wands are planted firmly in the ground – a commitment to his future plans.  There’s also a golden ocean in front of him, indicating the infinite possibilities at hand.  The ships in the golden ocean, while they are small at the moment, are a hint of his future success.  This is an ambition card.

Upright, the Three of Wands points to the success you’ve already had in your endeavors.  This success is a function of your careful planning.  By expanding your current plans, you can maximize the potential of your future.

Reversal: A reversal of the Three of Wands points to a delay or obstacle frustrating your plans at the moment.  This can also mean there’s an unwillingness to move forward or going full speed ahead with recklessness.  When the Three of Wands appears, this may be an indication that things aren’t quite working out as planned.  Accept these obstacles as part of the journey.  Seek help from others and learn from those with experience to determine the best way forward.

The Three of Wands is a practical card and is all about success in business.  The card is an ambition card, so don’t be afraid to think big.  Visualize what you want and where you want to go.  What you plan to accomplish and how you plan to get there.  This isn’t a deviation from current plans underway – instead it’s about growing those plans and expanding them on a grand scale.  Take some time to look around and learn about what’s out there.  This card is all about vision and foresight.  Be fearless!
